The First International Conference on Law, Language and Discourse (LLD Conference): Multiculturalism, Diversity and Dynamicity, associated with Multicultural Association of Law and Language (MALL), aims to promote the research on law, language and discourse by researchers of different cultural and
language backgrounds from different disciplines and across jurisdictions. The LLD Conference invites papers on all aspects of Law, Language and Discourse, including, but not limited to:

Language in the proceeding of investigation (including police interrogation, cover investigation, conversation in prison, etc.)

Education and training on LLP (Language for Legal Purposes),

Legal discourse and information retrieval

Language planning and Language rights
The conference will be held on 20-21 August 2011, just before the 16th World Congress of Applied
Linguistics (AILA2011) (23-28 August 2011, Beijing) and the International Conference on Law,
Translation and Culture (28-29 August 2011, Beijing).
All accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of LLD Conference 2011 published by
American Scholars Press, indexed by CPCI-SSH/ISSHP. Authors shall submit their papers
